10 CBD Facts Every User Should Know, Part 1 (2020)

To help our customers at CBDtv.com, I turned to Weed Maps to find an article that purported to tell us 10 CBD facts every user should know.

We began CBDtv.com as part of a roundabout initiative to further our efforts to resolve some of the ancillary consequences of mass incarceration. In the playlist, we’re creating a series of videos to show the various collaborations we started. If you’re a CBD consumer, we hope that you’ll consider CBDtv.com as a vendor of a choice—and thereby indirectly support efforts to improve outcomes of our nation’s jail and prison system.

Now let’s turn to the 10 CBD facts that every user should know. Since

CBD Fact 1: CBD is legal, but only if it’s derived from Hemp. Following the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. The caveat is that the CBD product must have less than 0.3% THC. If it meets that criterion, the product is not a controlled substance under federal law. For more insight, you may want to review the FDA website article, with the link below:

CBD Fact 2: CBD is psychoactive, but also non-intoxicating
Basically, the CBD products available through CBDtv.com will not get a person high, but that doesn’t mean it is not psychoactive. Like many over-the-counter products, CBD products may influence sleep—which is a psychoactive influence. Please check with your doctor to learn if CBD is appropriate for you.

CBD Fact 3: CBD generally works better with other cannabis compounds
A 2015 study from The Hebrew University of Israel documented the medicinal potency of single-molecule CBD extract versus that of a whole-plant, CBD-rich extract. This scientific information may be of interest to some consumers. If so, please check the following scientific paper:

CBD Fact 4: CBD Interacts with several systems in the body
There is an abundance of scientific information that is beyond my ability to comprehend. But the headline tells me what I need to know. Again, anyone consuming CBD should consult with a physician or licensed healthcare provider.

CBD Fact 5: Not all CBD oil is the same
We encourage every consumer to complete their own due diligence. We rely upon our partners at CBDfx, one of the leading manufacturers. If you check our playlist, you’ll see an interview I did with the CEO of that company and we’re impressed with the company’s commitment to being a best-in-class provider. We’re grateful that they’ve collaborated with us to form CBDtv.com, an e-commerce venture that provides resources to support our work at Prison Professors.com.
